There are 30 days in a sub cycle. This is 720 hours a cycle. The most expensive sub fee for Eve is $15USD/mo. This works out to ~$0.02 cents an hour.
So, all in all, per account, you are currently out right around 12 cents USD as of this moment.
If this amount is truly stressful for you, please send me a verifiable invoice of your current accounts. I will reimburse you the time you are currently out from Eve right from my own pocket. It's not the rl money. I could have made 6-7 bil in those 6-7 hours (some a lot more, some a lot less) Well, no one else made any ISK either...so you are exactly where you were in relation to the entire community. I hope this makes you feel better. Yeah, you've not lost any more than anyone else.

and right spot on post #2300 We've still got our characters so they probably haven't lost the db. Unless the forums is a different one that is synced from the live one.
Which is probably is thinking about it. |

Well I passed the time and did the bowel cancer screening thing, following the instructions to the letter (I'll spare you the details - too much information) and I am now going to wander off to the super market and then the pub. This Eve failure is costing me money!
I blame CODE - CCP, pay them the 10 mill and things might start working!
WE SHALL NOT IMPROVE! I hope that your screen is clear mate. |

It's time for compensation folks. To be fair, if the downtime is this long it's probably something serious, if a bug corrupted the db state during downtime they'l be able to restore from backup (they probably backup every downtime, I would) but it would take ages to restore. |

Sounds more like a hardware problem than software. Did CCP remember to pay the electric bill and is it plugged in? Don't have have a cluster of servers? Isn't the whole point of that to make sure that a hardware problem is contained to a single machine?
